Information about hauling water around Williams

To live in many locations around Northern Arizona and enjoy living out side of the city limits, water often has to be either hauled by the individual homeowner, or have it brought to the home by several commercial water-hauling companies. Water can be hauled from Williams, and several other locations. It isn't hard and shouldn't discourage anyone who wants to live in the country from doing so. For the most part wells are too deep for the average homeowner to drill at over 3000 feet deep.  There are limited areas where there is surface water, but those are few.

Conservation becomes the norm for many living in areas immediately around Williams where city water isn't available and for many who live many miles from Williams. There are many ways to do that such as low flow toilets, an in line device to stop the water in a shower while soaping up and many more inventive ways that many people use to get the most out of their water. Many people collect rain and snow melt as well and depending on the size of their collection tanks don't have to haul during the winter and monsoon season, and some not at all.

There are many ways to haul, from using barrels to purchasing a tank to put in the back of a pickup, or on a trailer. Residents usually haul their water when shopping, on the way home from work, etc. so as not to make special trips just to haul water.
